About the Lads:
Every now and then due to a freak of chemistry an act is formed with ‘Star Quality’ and these two young men have that ingredient! Ian Davis who has managed numerous comedy acts, notably ‘The Mad Hatters’, has had a great input in bringing these two men to the forefront of the comedy cabaret world.
Steve & Sam make up ‘The Unlikely Lads’, They are one of the top comedy duo’s in the country, a country who gave us great comedy double acts such as Morecambe and Wise & Cannon & Ball. To name these men in the same sentence as the aforementioned may seem a little brave but once you have seen The Unlikely Lads, you will realise they are ‘stars in the making’.

Steve Garrod started his showbusiness life as a blue coat entertainer for Pontins Holidays in 1996 and then, in 1999 went on to be an entertainer for First Choice in Fuerteventura. The year of 2000 saw him progress to resident compere at Lyme Bay Holiday Park in Devon and also playing the role of Simple Simon in the pantomime ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. In 2001 he joined Reighton Sands Holiday Park as a presenter before going to Lanzarote and becoming compere at the Pecatello Resort Hotel. In 2005 Steve joined The Pearl Of Scandanavia Cruise Ship as the Entertainments Manager.
Sam Aubry also started his comedy career in 1996 where he first met Steve whilst auditioning and that Christmas they both first worked together at Pontins Camber Sands as blue coat entertainers and there he stayed until 1998. Sam then moved to Pontins in Southport to become chief host. In 1999 he decided to leave the British holiday scene and made his way to Fuerteventura to take up the position of Entertainments Manager for First Choice, where he renewed his relationship with Steve. It wasn’t long before ‘The Unlikely Lads’ were born.
Together they make, The Unlikely Lads.
Since 2003 ‘The Unlikely Lads’ have been seen by thousands of people in Countries such as Egypt, Turkey, Spain and Cyprus to name but a few. They have also performed for many of the major holiday companies such as Haven Holidays, British Holidays, Pontins, Thomsons, Butlins, First Choice, Park Resorts, Parkdean plus numerous cabaret, corporate and private functions nationally.
Their act is both stand up and vocal, containing topical parodies and sketches with the normal slapstick repartee of a comedy double act, their show provides an hour of fun and frolics for any discerning audience.
The Unlikely Lads will travel anywhere worldwide to enhance their reputation. They can perform fully self contained or using a house system. They can also be commissioned to write and produce comedy parodies tailored for corporate events and special occasions where the personal touch is required.
